Work Weekend

It was work weekend at Hillcrest and look at the happy faces!

We got much more done than we thought we would. Tomo, Shana, Bernard and Francesca all came over and spent the day tearing things apart and getting the place ready for us to move in. We ripped out beams in the second bedroom, took down all kinds of popcorn ceiling, tore out trim and cabinetry, prepped for painting and secured the garage. Check us out:

...and find more evidence of termites past.

We discovered two or three more layers of materials under the kitchen floor.


We tear pieces of the bedrooms out...

...and find that the beams aren't supporting the ceiling, but the other way around.



We scrape the ceilings free!


And David brings pizza for the construction crew!! Thanks Pop!!
